These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Farrides mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Farrides ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • "User" or "Passenger": Any person who registers an account on the Farrides app to book rides.
  • "Driver": Any person who registers on the Farrides Driver app to provide transportation services.
  • "Ride" or "Booking": A transportation service request made by a User through the App.
  • "Platform": The Farrides mobile applications (User and Driver), website, and associated backend services.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use our services.
  • By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3. Our Service

Farrides is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent drivers for transportation services in Arunachal Pradesh, India. We are not a transportation company. We do not provide transportation services directly. Drivers using the platform are independent service providers, not employees of Farrides.

4. Account Registration

  • You must provide a valid email address and phone number to register.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Booking and Rides

5.1 Booking a Ride

  • When you request a ride, the fare is calculated based on the distance, vehicle type, time of day, and applicable surcharges. The estimated fare is displayed before you confirm your booking.
  • A booking is confirmed once a driver accepts your ride request.
  • A unique booking reference and OTP (One-Time Password) are generated for each ride for verification purposes.

5.2 Fare and Payment

Fares are calculated as follows:

  • Booking Fee: A flat fee based on the vehicle type (starting from Rs.100).
  • Distance Charge: A per-kilometre rate based on the assigned vehicle.
  • Night Surcharge: Additional charges apply for rides between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
  • Season Surcharge: Additional charges may apply during peak travel months.
  • GST: 18% Goods and Services Tax is applied on the fare as per government regulations.
  • Coupons: Discount coupons, when valid, are applied on the subtotal before GST.

Payment is made directly to the driver upon completion of the ride. Accepted payment methods include cash and UPI. Farrides does not process payments on behalf of drivers.

5.3 Ride Extensions

If you need to extend your ride to a different destination during an ongoing trip, you may request a ride extension through the app. Additional distance charges will apply. The extension fare is calculated based on the extra distance at the applicable per-kilometre rate.

5.4 Cancellations

  • You may cancel a ride at any time before the ride is completed.
  • A cancellation penalty equal to the vehicle type's booking fee may be applied and added to your next ride as a miscellaneous fee.
  • Repeated cancellations may affect your ability to use the platform.

6. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations.
  • Be present at the pickup location at the scheduled time.
  • Treat drivers with respect and courtesy.
  • Comply with all applicable laws during the ride.
  • Not engage in any illegal, harmful, or disruptive behaviour.
  • Not damage the driver's vehicle.
  • Pay the full fare amount to the driver upon ride completion.

7. Driver Responsibilities

  • Maintain a valid driver's licence and all required permits.
  • Keep their vehicle in safe and roadworthy condition.
  • Follow the designated route and traffic regulations.
  • Treat passengers with respect and courtesy.
  • Verify the passenger's identity using the OTP before starting the ride.
  • Not charge passengers any amount beyond the fare shown in the app.

8. Ratings and Reviews

After each completed ride, passengers may rate their driver on a scale of 1 to 5 and leave a comment. Ratings are used to maintain service quality. Farrides reserves the right to deactivate drivers who consistently receive low ratings.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time through the app. Upon receiving your request, we will review and process it. Account deletion will remove your personal data from our active systems, subject to any legal retention requirements.

10. Intellectual Property

The Farrides name, logo, app design, and all associated content are the property of Farrides. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any of our intellectual property without prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • Farrides is a platform that connects passengers with drivers. We do not guarantee the availability of drivers at any given time or location.
  • We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or delay arising from the use of transportation services provided by drivers.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct, actions, or omissions of any driver or passenger.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific ride in question.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Farrides, its officers, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also update pricing, fees, and surcharge structures. Continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Farrides after changes are posted constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Arunachal Pradesh, India.
